8x57 Mauser and heavy boolits

I tried a few 220 grain Sierra Spitzer Boattail's in the Czech 98,they are crazy accurate. Maybe I will get a chance to try one out on a moose or elk if I can bribe somebody in the LEH department..............

303; Glad to hear those 220's are performing for you. Have you chrony'd them yet? What powder are you using in your 8x57? The 180's & 200's do well in my Remington 700 Classic Regards, Eagleye

I loaded the 220 grainers with 45 grains of H4895,have not ran them over the chrony yet. They shot into an inch at 100 yds as did the 185 Remington Cor-Lokt bullets. I hope to find some Vithavouri powder and try out some of your data.
