Comments on this cartridge that was devloped recently?

(Just rereading a Handloader magazine from a couple of months ago)

It basically duplicates the 9.3x62 performance in a short action.;)

I thought 9.3 "Bs" was a joke of some sort. Man am I ever out of the loop.

You have to understand the mentality of Sisk and Barsness to fully appreciate thee humour in the "9.3BS" logo!:p
These two guys are absolute clowns when it comes to being funny!
I tend to chuckle every time I read the thread on the campfire about Charlie's foray into the Gunwriting realm-
"get a M700/M70 bolt action 30/06, load it up with Partitions, and go hunting.
I can see the royalties comming in already, i'LL BE RICH!":D :D

Does anyone have a link to an article, or specifics on which case it is based on?

This is a quote from a poster on the Accurated Reloading Forum

The 9.3 BS is the off spring of John Barsness And Charle Sisk. Based on the 350 Remingtion Magnum case, the 9.3 BS gives 9.3 x 62 velocities and feeds reliably through virtually any short action made, so it is a known entity.

Filling in Another Increment in the Ctg Race...

Another ctg for the guy who has to have something "different" that no one else has... despite that fact that there may be dozens of existing ctgs that can duplicate or better it's performance... ;) :D :p

In a factory chambering, with Group A dies, in a Stainless Laminate Ruger Boltaction..... nice VXIII 1-5x28mm matte on the roof

yeah, I'd consider buying one ;)

I hate to say it, but a Remington guide gun in 9.3 BS...nice.

bartel will never let me live that down.

If you lose those pieces you end up with a model 7!

So does the 9.3 BS still have the 350's belt? Why not a 9.3 WSM - wouldn't that make more sense ?

Kind of a silly argument. Which is better a 350 rem mag or a 9.3 BS? A 35 whelen or a 9.3x62? 270 or 30-06? Pretty darn similar. I guess with the 9.3 you get the advantage of a slightly bigger bullet.

Mr. Sisk apprantly HATES the WSM casees, so that was one of the main reasons for the belted case.

The article was more about trying to find a totally new wildcat that had never been done before.
It would be a useful round along the lines of the ever popular 358 winchester or 375 Scovill.

I think wildcat's are cool, sort of, I toyed with the idea of building a 6.5 RSAUM and converting my Mountain Rifle 260, but then all the things I really like about the 260 would be gone so I would have to buy another and the 6.5 RSAUM's performance would be awfully close to that of a 270 win.
I decided I could afford to own more nice guns without spending the $ on a custom.
