I've been debating if I should buy one of those 9.3x57 M98s on tradeex. Is there such a thing a mil surp ammo in this caliber? I really don't feel like paying $50 a box for 10 minutes of range time.

yep thats what i did cheap and easy

And an enjoyable past time to boot,I've just finished doing up a few boxes for a couple of old German Mauser sporters except in 9X57 caliber. Both bores slug out at .356 so I've been using cast and they work just fine.Peanuts per pop for mild plinking loads.

I open up 8x57 brass and paper patch a 35 calibre bullet so they end up at .366 diameter. I made up a 272 grain bullet mould for mine, and I can shoot a cast bullet at factory velocities. As mentioned, less than 10 cents a shot.
