9.3x57 Fire Forming

Hey

I'm going to be starting to reload for 9.3x57, and have never paid any attention to forming brass for it. Some neck up an 8x57 and some fire form 35 whelan...and others talk about using 30-06 brass...

what's your experience?

what's the availability of 8mm mauser on ee?

and best-brands...it's a low pressure load and i will be casting for it as well so it should not be too hard on brass...

8mm mauser is brass is hard to find lately. Eventually another batch of PRVI brass will arrive agsin.

My headspacing is quite tight, I run 8x57 brass through the 9.3x57 fl sizer and then load and shoot it.

A lot of these rifles have tight neck chambers. Measure a fired case vs a loaded ammo's neck to see if your rifle is in that case.

Not if you use 8x57 brass, then it's as easy as resizing 35whelan to 9.3x62.

what would make it more difficult? trim length?

yeah, it looks like 8mm brass is hard enough to find...
