9.3x57R?

I note with interest Rob's trhead on the regular rimless 9.3x57. One can make that from 8x57 with a minimum of sweat and profanity. But what about the rimmed variety? I see Buffalo makes it from 30-40 Krag, but it looks like a lot of labour...

Anyone know of a source?

I believe so; can be made from .30-06 brass as well if cut down before sizing.

Be careful, there is more than one 9.3x57R! The 9.3x57R/360 is not a simple matter of necking up 8x57r brass. I believe it can be formed from 38-55 brass or 9.3x72r.

Respectfully, Meroh - you have that 100% backwards.

Rob's thread is about the rimless version, as is, I assume, your answer. The one I'm curious about is the rimmed variety, also known as the ".360". See here for the difference.

Thanks to Erik for the warning. Cartidges of the World doesn't mention the 9.3x57R / .360, but DOES mention the older "9.3x57Rmm", which looks a lot like the ancient straight-walled BP plonkers of the 1890s and not like the bottlenecked old lady I'm looking for.
