9.3x62, 270gr Speer hotcor and varget

In my rifle velocity was 150 fps slower than hodgdon predicted and i worked up about a grain higher to match their vel numbers. Ymmv

2500fps with 60gr varget in both my rifles, both 98 based actions. 59gr is my 286 pill load.
You can get a little more speed out of a full case of 414 if required. I'd work that load up as 414 has a tipping point where pressure goes up quick.

I would be inclined to try H4895. With 57gr and a 285gr PPU bullet it was running 2450fps out of a zastava 22inch barrel. 2600fps would be pretty easy to get with the 270gr speer.

I had better luck with IMR 4064 in my CZ FS. 0.50" groups at 100yds with both 55gr (2138fps) and a max load of 58gr (2338fps), CCI 200 primers, Lapua brass.
IMR 4895 with 55 & 56gr's were just under and inch a 100yds
IMR 4350 with 63 & 64 gr's was 0.70 & 0.75" respectively.
Sorry haven't tried Varget. Kinda didn't need to.

Just bought some of these Speer 270 gr bullets, so am thankful for the above info.
Have most of the powders listed above to try.

Interested in results with Re-15...have a few pounds on hand as it works very well in my 416 Taylor.
What charges are people using? (Have not gone looking for data yet)

Pretty sure that my load is 62gr of RL15 with a 286 Norma RN so it would be just fine with the 270.
