anyone having issuers with this brass after firing , seen a post about it on here and i'm just about ready to buy new brass , kinda was like lapua just made it in the 30-06 size case with neck going to 366 , or something like that , dont want to pay $249 for 100 cases if they not as good as they should be

i can get Norma and PPU , but i have always like lapua

No problem at all with Lapua brass in my 9.3. On the 4th round of reloading with the same brass so far.
What kind of issue was mentioned with it?

Yes, brass only. It's currently available at Italian Sporting Goods.
yikes , thats just retarded , $152 for a box of 25 , i think thats a mistake ,

Lapua is like $249 for a box of 100 , and i consider that brass about as good as you can get , Till when i read about the having some issures , i just passed

and i found my second fav brass tonight , Norma and it was $119 US for 100 , plus $10 off if you give em your email , $109 plus $12 shipping , i think its the best deal for brand new brass , most likly will be about $175 when hits your door

even with PPU brass, it was like $89 for a bag of 50 , plus $23 for shipping

Questioning Lapua's quality is ridiculous.
The issue with Lapua 9.3x62 brass is that it’s based on the smaller 30-06 dimensions rather than 9.3x62. They’ve likely just produced their brass using some common tooling between the 2 cartridges based on samples of both I measured. There is a small bit of overlap in the base diameter specs between 30-06 and 9.3x62 so it’s technically in spec, but it means Lapua 9.3x62 brass is small and the 30-06 brass is large. In my Tikka 9.3, it resulted in a bulge line where the brass expanded to meet the chamber even with mild loads. I like Lapua and use it in a lot of different cartridges, but ridiculous or not, that issue is real for Lapua 9.3x62 brass. PPU brass resolved this for me.

Same with Hornady brass!
I mean if the specs are the same as 30-06 may as well use 30-06 brass they are free and they are everywhere!!

It's most difficult to locate a brass better than Lapua, not unless Peterson manufactures it. $2.49 per case is a fair price, comparable to others, especially Nosler.

and there it is , just what i remembered reading , all i was asking if anyone else had the same issues ,

not saying Lapua brass is ridiculous , far from it , it is one i have used for over 35 years of reloading and i most likely would of used it for this new to me 9.3X62 , maybe it was just a bad batch , but at $250 a box , i'll pass till they get it sorted out , Norma is just about as good in my opinion

That's Lapua's foolish oversight. It's not like Tikka wasn't handy.

PPU is good brass, on par with Hornady, in terms of metallurgy.

No experience with Lapua reloading, nor Norma, but have heard of Norma splitting at the neck, which suggests some batches have not been anealed. This across calibres, not unique to the 9.3..

There is a problem with base size, as a 40 year old RCBS shell holder works better than current. Which suggests some .30-06 cross fertilization.

i hope this Norma batch is good , last time i order from him in 7x57 and they were annealed , you could tell easy , now if i could just get lucky and find me a set of hornady 9.3X62 dies , having a rough time with no luck on finding a set , anyone got a extra set of dies and want to sell em or trade for something nice

I guess it wouldn’t hurt to anneal them before you do anything else.
