So I picked up this latest "dud" from a well known trader up north, who shall remain nameless, a few months ago and haven't been able to get out to shoot it. So last night I put a few loads together and chucked on a leupy 4x.....first 5 down the pipe gave me this mess:rolleyes:

Oh well, not bad for shooting off my butt on a pair of sticks...some day I hope to find a load that works in her, for now I'll have to deal with this shotgun "pattern".

The real proplem is...what am I gonna to do tommorow?...I guess I can go back and see if 56gr was pulled or if it really stepped out
BTW, 56gr was moving 2360fps...fast enough it think:p
Oh ya, it's a Husky:cool: Go figure

I am pretty sure a bear, moose or deer would hope your groups were alot bigger. My guess under the conditions and the first load you worked up the game would not really care since they would be toast.

I can't wait for spring to try out my Husky 96 with a 50 CM (19.5") barrel, I tried some factory 286 Gr Lapua they grouped well but wouldn't fit into the magazine.
I have some Woodliegh 250 gr round nose I am going to try over some IMR4064 I have on hand, I picked the 250 RN because the base of the bullet stops level with the case neck giving me the full case capacity to work with if the 4064 doesn't work out I will be trying some 4895.

I hope mine shoots groups that bad!:)

Ditto

This is the max load for 286 gr with RL15 in the Nosler loading data.

I get 1/2" and better MOA with my CZ550 carbine open sights and even tighter with an older Husky and a Lyman Alaskan 2 1/2 power post recticle.

Great round

Was that your using a mauser 98 action or the 96.

You really should flog that to some other poor unsuspecting fool and be shed of that lemon. Never met a 9.3X62 that wouldn't shoot.
Mine just loves the 270 gn Speer and the bullet speed and performance are stellar on game.

That group and rifle are too embarrassing...... you should sell it quick.
Love the caliber and the rifle.

I had the same problem with an old swedish mauser. Beat up stock with a crack starting behind the action, dirty, got it for a song. I loaded up some 129 sst's with 40, 41, 42 and 43gr of bl-c(2) and set out for the range. The damn thing shot the same shotgun pattern, all over the 10 ring with all 4 charge weights. Couldn't even keep every single shot in the x :)
