I was running out of things to reload for and was browsing the tradeex website and bought a Husqvarna Sporter in 9.3x62 for $325

also grabbed a pack of 100 brass for the rifle

anyone else loading 9.3x62?

what boolits and powder are you using? I think I might try to work up a soft deer load for this rifle for this season im hoping boolits are easier to find than the currently unobtainium .311's

I use(d) a lot of combinations, but my favourite one is RL15 with Nosler 250 gr. AccuBond.
Start at 53-54 gr. and work up.

Does Tradeex still have the 285 grain privi bullets? Those work fine for deer, and for how hard they hit, don't make a mess. Check hodgdon reloading site for data. When I had a sporter I ran 55.5 grains Varget IIRC with the privi bullet. You would probably have to crimp into the second canneleure? for your rifle (3.19-ish) so as not to hang up on the front of the internal magazine.

The magazine lenght will depend on the type of action used on the different HVA models.
The FN and the 1640 actions have standard magazine lenght (3.340"), while the M/94/38 based models have a shorter magazine - rechambered M/46, 46A have a 3.240" magazine while originally chambered for the X62 model 640 have a 3.260" magazine.

Top is a M/46 magazine while bottom is a M/649 one

I've been using BL-C2 in x57 and x62, with 270's and 286s'.

The prvi 286's seem to shoot very well so far. I've kind of stopped buying any other jacketed bulles for anyting 9.3....

Cool thanks, I'll have to try some varget on 250 grain boolits or see if my gun ship still has any BL-C2, RL-15, 4350 is impossible to find right now :(

You can also play with H380, H335, Norma 202 and 203, IMR/H4895, W748 and IMR 3031. I never got the results I wanted with 4350's and W760/H414.
