Loading my first 9mm bullets 155gr 4.5gr Unique copper plated bullets. What should the overall length be. The spec says max length is 1.169 inches. Factory loads are 1.12 inches.;)

factory loads have different powder, each powder has different properties, you can load shorter but that may up your pressure which in turn can speed up your bullet with the same amount of powder or blow up your gun. pretty unlikely but not impossible.

i would follow the recommended COAL that the load data provides, see if it chamber and feeds well and if its not try seating a little deeper. I know with my CZ i had to seat the AIM bullets i was using just under 1.1", generally around 1.085"

your title says 115gr but in the body you refer to 155gr.
Assuming you mean 115gr....
I'd say for 115gr plated bullets 4.5gr of Unique is too light a charge.
I'd start at 5gr and probably leave it there. (somewhat under max)
Incidentally I use 124gr plated Berry's over 5gr of Unique.
I agree with 1.100 OAL
