Where is the best place to buy 9 mm ammo? Thinking of buying a 9 mm pistol like a S.A.M. just to make some holes in paper targets. Don't want to reload the 9 mm just shoot it. Thanks.

Custom Reloading Service in Maple Ridge BC has high quality reloaded 9mm for $11.60/50 if you buy 500 minimum. I use this stuff as well as the .40S&W. Pretty accurate and no issues. They use Rem, Fed and Win brass casings. Ammo is jacketed.

If you don't reload, your best bet is commercially re-loaded ammo. I re-load, but recently bought 2,000 rounds of Wolf re-loaded 9mm because it was so cheap that it was better than my handloads if I put any value on my loading time.

I am in Welland Ontario. I do reload now for 5 other rounds, just did not want to make it 6. Was looking for a 1911 9 mm with adjustable sights but they are all over a grand. Not even sure I will like a 9 mm. Anyone own one of those Alfa revolvers, are they any good? Would appreciate any input on the Alfa revolver though, thanks.

I put new sights on a Norc 1911 9mm and gave it a trigger job. Total cost, under $150. It shoots well. 135g lead RN.

Just an FYI. I just got a shipping quote from Custom Reloading and it was more than double the cost that Ammosupply.ca charges for 1500 rds. ($113 vs $53)......BC to NB vs AB to NB shouldn't be that much more should it?

I'd call them for a quote when they get back from Shotshow..
I've ordered from them before and they have been great on shipping.. Ask for John

im actually waiting for a price quote for 5000 rounds of 9mm 124gr FMJ directly from Wolf. he said he will give me a quote when he gets back from shotshow.

That seems pricey..

I bet he does not have an account with Canpar.. My stuff usually came via Canada post (Not Ammo) and was reasonable..

That may be it. I asked by return email if he used Canpar but haven't heard back. That Ammosupply price was with Canpar. SFRC uses UPS and their shipping prices (considering it's less than 1/2 the distance from me) seem a little higher.

edit

I just noticed this thread about shipping ammo

Wolverine says Purolator is by far the cheapest.
