91/30 Sniper questions

So contemplating buying a 91/30 sniper from a local firearms store but I'm not totally sold yet,

#1-Do I have to shoot it with a bayo on in order to hit the 200 yrd gong?

#2-If the sniper version doesnt come with a bayo (heard they typically dont), do I have to stuff the under side of the barrel to control vibes?

#3-Is it hard to site in the scope with the PU scope?

Last question is very simply, can I take this to the range, shoot surplus, and hit a 200 yarder gong without having to mod the gun? Or do they all require a vast amount of modding to shoot well?

Any info on this rifle would be awesome guys, it also has many symbols I cant find info about so anything about these cool units would be grand. Thanks CGNers.

#1 Usually the Mosin sniper are set to shoot without bayonet.

#2 If the sniper you look at is of the recent refurbished sniper available on the market, they should be ready to shoot, minus minors scope adjustments.

#3 Pu scope are not so hard to adjust, particulary on thoses refurb sniper. There's should be no need to file or shim the mount to correct rough windage. Rough elevation is corrected with the mount and final elevation and windage are done with the scope turrets.

Once the scope and the sights are adjusted, should be no problem hitting target but like any rifle, they might like certain type of ammo better than another.

The day I got mine, I set out with around 80 rounds of surplus, put an old wire reel out at 200m and sighted in on a board at 100m. Once I was zeroed, I took aim at the 200m and aimed just above it. 5/5 shots hit their mark.
 
Its kind of funny seeing first time mosin shooter moding the hell out of their rifle without realizing the cause of their poor groups is operator error. You cant shoot it like a rem700 but once you get used to it, they can shoot amazing well.
