Have a chance to pick up a winchester 9410 packer with choke tubes. Interesting little gun. Does anyone have any experience with one of these?
Just wish someone would make a decent weight slug. May have to experiment with loading my own. Thanks for any help.

Had a near new one for a few months and then sold it. Wish I had it back. I used it on our annual Grouse hunt and was impressed with the way it handled the chambering of the cartridge and the lethal effect on .the Grouse. All in all, a very nice gun.

I had a Winchester 9410 traditional model with invector chokes and a sliding tang safety and loved it for rabbit hunting.I eventually sold it to fund a bucket list gun that came up and figured eventually would replace it with a Henry lever 410.Well I just bought a Henry lever 410 carbine came up on the EE recently at a real good price so I bought it and was glad I did as the gun is basically in new condition and also came with a second mag tube that allows the gun to be loaded with 3 rounds only if needed. The Henry is based on their 45/70 carbine and is a nicely finished and very solid piece actually for me it feels more solid the the win 9410 and I think a better gun overall.Though I would of preferred the longer 24inch barreled version with chokes the henry carbine with an open choke should be fine where I hunt which is normally dense brush and swamps and since I got the gun for about half of the retail price I can t complain at all

I looked at one, but it was just too much of a novelty to me. 410 slugs are not legal in some provinces, and sights are useless on a gun shooting shot.

^^ This ^^ .......... I spent $200 on a beater Marlin 500 in 410 and am way farther ahead on the 0-10 function scale than I would have been with a goofy 410 lever action M94 not to mention the money I saved.

12 years...... wow!

A flashlight in 410, cool! No doubt more functional, hard to find your way in the dark with muzzle blast alone. A novelty IMO as well, to much $ for ground swatting grouse or bunnies.
