9422 info

Hello recently i lucked out and found this 9422 local for a good price it has a 20" barrel just wondering if what model it is would it be an xtr? serial dates it to a 91 production.

I believe it is an XTR, with the checkered stock, but someone more knowledgeable can confirm. I recently got a 9422 Magnum, but it has a plain stock.

So I guess the only difference between an Xtr and a regular rifle is the checkering?

The barrel will say xtr if it is one. Looks to me like its a "legacy" traditional model.

I think your correct i found a historic guns page on winchesters web site that pretty much confirms this.

Looks like a regular one, not an XTR. I had one, and while I wasn't much of a lever gun guy, it was nice to have a classic in the collection!
