Actually, the US military demands are quite low as far as accuracy goes.

The Barret BMG is rumoured to shoot 2 MOA or thereabouts. Yes, this is not with the best of ammo but even accuracy tests in the BARRETT mag are not spectacular.

I expect sub MOA to be about what it will do. I don't expect teeny tiny groups from it.

My apologies I stand corrected (with regards to military standards)..... I have read alot on Barrett. They preach quality, with regards to there products, not to mention their long history in the business. So i assumed with quality components and experience comes accuracy.... When Obtunded says will it shoot.... I'd say yeah....sub moa... not to shabby...

For that type of money, I would expect a whole bunch better performance. An off the shelf Rem will offer the same accuracy.

A SAKO will do much better for approx 1/2 the price.

A semi custom Savage will beat all the above for little money spent.

And another addition for interest

probably a repost
but

Don't know if I would be making comparisons of accuracy or to other's rifles until I've had a chance to shoot them:) against the other's referred to by Jerry.
I'll arrange to make time at the range if someone can supply the rifles.
I'll spring for the ammo and even test some reloads.
Even post a thorough unbiased evaluation with comparitive targets.
PLEASE.....

It is a restricted export. Unless your are authorized military or approved an government user, they cannot sell them to us here. Same issue with all those "tactical" rifles that have dropped of the face of the earth/store shelves here in Canada.
