98K front sight hood

I am looking to complete my 2 RC 98K's & am looking for 2 front sight hoods. Does anyone know of a Canadian supplier? or possibly a collector that has some spares? Repro's are O.K but originals would be preferred. Thanks.

You can get them on e-bay as well as the cleaning rod and locking screws...

1st make sure each sight has the slot for the cover early and late ones do not

It's just a RC, I wouldn't spend the extra money on a sight hood or TG screws as it's not correct for RC.

Given that an RC is obviously a shooter not a safe queen, the capture screws are nice to have so the bolts don't shake lose.

No reason not to add a repro sight hood as well.

Capture screws? whats that? also. since the early 98s didn't take sight hoods, should they have barrel guards? was this a standard fitting for early rifles? should I be buying one?

Agreed. An oil finish is also not correct. It's shellac or nothing.

The lock screws probably won't fit any way. There was a reason they where left out.
