9mm, .40S&W, or .45ACP?

I need help chosing my next handgun/caliber. It's going to be a USP, but the million dollar question is what caliber. I don't reload for a CF pistol, so chosing a caliber I alread have it not an issue. Whatever I opt for will be reloaded on a Rockchucker.

I'm leaning towards .45 since I hear brass life is much longer, .40 has more snap, and 9mm is a pain in the ass to reload. But, .40 and 9mm mags are half the price, and it might be easier to find holster/mag holders for those calibers.

Last minute advice on reloading pistol would be appreciated.
 
All three of those calibers are dead easy to reload, and while the .45 brass is eternal (untill your buddy snags it on you) .40 is free because anywhere cops shoot they don't pick up, see same answer for 9mm. Hope your not going to shoot a lot if your going to load on a rockchucker, you'll be there all week. (I just went progressive from a single stage, I know where of I speak)

I've never heard of 9 being a pain, I load 1000's of em, no different than .45, just cheaper.

You'll get at least 10 loads out of 9 brass, more if you don't load it balls to the wall, brass life is not really a issue with non-magnum handguns, IMHO.
 
.40S&W (IMO) is the way to go. Brass is abundant, and it costs about the same as reloading 9mm, just more fun to shoot (again IMO)
 
40 Cal or 9mm 'cos you can pick up 200 cases free at the local club at the end of the night.

45 brass is more expensive adn people tend to pick their own up
 
45acp is my choice - however if I was to purchase another pistol it would be a 40 cause of the brass is so easy to come by.
 
Any of the above is a good choice. If the police shoot at your club, 40 is the way to go. At least out here in Ab they shoot 40's. Those that don't use 9's. Have fun with whatever you choose.
 
If you go .45acp go 1911. and for firepower go double stack Para. Great guns, well made, very accurate and their service department, if you need is 2nd to none. There is nothing to compare to a well tuned 1911 trigger.

9MM, their are lots of options but for down and out reliability take a hard look at CZ 75/85's. Very well made, accurate and reliabel as are the Tanfoglio clones.

I load both 45 and 9mm on my rockchucker, both are very easy to load, 9 is much cheaper. Usually go through 1000 round a month without spending too much time at the bench. Just need to get a routine set up, does not take long at all.
