I've been playing with the Sig V-Crown made by Sierra.
I'm getting good accuracy in my G19 so I figured I'd share the data. I'm using 4.9 grains of W231 in a Winchester Nickle case with a Dominion Small Rifle Primer.
My chrono didn't read every shot due to sun light interference. It's in the range of 1350-1400 fps and produced a 5 round group from 15 yards measuring 1.33".

I tested this ammo from 25 yards today (rested)
and printed a 2.25" groups with my G19.
My free hand shoting was not as good but still an acceptable 4.5" group.

Interesting, I was just about to reload some 147s for light recoil, 20m+ bullseye shooting, and noticed your post.

I wonder if 90gr at the speed would have less recoil then the slow 147s... I'm sure the 90's would hold less drop at distance also.

Possibly. I haven't tested them side by side so I'm not sure how they compare.

You could probably push them much faster if you wanted. I use more 231 for a 124grn than you did for your 90. I checked Hodgdon's site, you are actually .6 grains under their starting load for 90grn.

I did try more but this is the charge weight which gave me best accuracy. I went up to 5.4 grains. One of my manuals lists a max charge of 5.2 @ 1411 fps and the other 5.8 @ 1349 fps.

Right on, I'm loading 95grn cast FN bullets soon. It's got my interest piqued, something about high velocity 9mm does it for me.

Not to sound stupid but if you drive those cast bullets over say 900 fps without a gas check won't you lead up your barrel ?

I have successfully shot lead .223 at 2600 fps with no gas check. Powder coating is the way to go. With the right alloy and properly sized bullets getting decent speeds isn't too hard.

Try http://www.xtremebullets.com/ and http://www.evergladesammo.com/bullets/handgun-bullets/380-95gr-jhp.html look under 380 bullets. out of a 5" Bar Stow barrel in a 2011, I get: 90 gr CPHP w/ 5.6 gr of W231 1460 fps and with 5.0 gr of Titegroup its 1442 fps.
