Reliable has some of the best retail prices, 10.75 for a bx of 50x 115 gr

Around $195 per thousand plus tax

By the way a .22cal pistol will pay for itself very quickly.

I use reloaded 124 gr with 3.8grs of bullseye, federal primers if I can find 'em.

Shooters have different personal preferences in bullets when shooting their guns. I like the 147 grns, it is less snappy compared to 124 in my P226. Just try various loads and brand, see what you will like best. It's really up to you.. we can only recommend what we like best base from our experience.

i use Federal American Eagles 115 gr. in my 226, they shoot great. and go to Italian Sporting Goods for ammo, prices there are very good too, nice and helpful bunch of guys also

The 226 I had did not like cast bullets, but it was fine with all jacketed loads I tried.

I've fired about 2000 rounds of American Eagel 124 gr. out of my P226R without any troubles.

Mine will eat anything. I have been loading 115 grn with 3.8 grn of 231 works fine....
