Well this caught my eye and gave me an idea to start a 9mm project. I know the suppressor is prohib so just ignore that. I like the HK sights and the UZI mag block. Anyone else thinking of a AR project for the New Year?

Well with the price of 9mm very reasonable right now I anticipate shooting mostly 9 mil next year, hence the purchase of the G19 and G34.
 
Someone should design one that doesn't use the buffer tube. Guns would be great with folders and would make more sense to me then 5.56.
 
problem is where would the bolt go then ? when fired

it would require a complete new rifle and no longer be an ar15

yup 9mm is alot of fun! ive got the colt ro634 smg only problem with mine is it chucks the brass up to 20 ft away so its really hard to find!!!

You remove the entire back of the bolt carrier until the area where the firing pin gets hit by the hammer and you create a spring system inside the new area you have just created. Something similar to a MAC10 recoil spring assembly.
 
They are great fun to shoot and a great training platform for future 223 shooters.
As a LEO duty firearm (semi) IMHO they suck. You are much better off with a 223 carbine.
 
I contacted Questar about RRA uppers, Department of State stopped issuing out export permits for it, so Mark thinks he wont be able to get anymore...

I'm looking at putting HK sights on my AR 9mm.. I was gonna sell it but being hearing that news from Mark, I thought to keep it now.

Crap. What else is Department of State going to cut off from coming here.

I'm glad I got my 10.5" RRA from Mark:)
 
Thats what I wanted to replace the 8" I have, Was a 10.5"

Being I could not find a Mini RAS to allow to mount a FSB. Had to go out and buy another RAS system for it and RAS mounted front sight......
 
I say go for it. I have a 9mm project that I never quite got around to completing. Starting piecing it together before the RRA stuff started coming to Canada (talk about PITA). The gun is currently up and running but still needs some finishing work to complete, such as pinning on a FSB, custom handguard retainer for cut down triangular handguards, refinishing, etc....

The rifle is a blast to shoot, nice bonus is it can be used at the indoor pistol range in the winter time.
