Hello,

Recently got a significant amount of "1f" brass and after finally getting to processing it, the bulk of it is below the trim length of 0.750".

Worthless? Just toss it?

Thanks

are they below .744 ? ---- if between .754 -.744 you are good to go, by the specs

the only time I have measured pistol brass it was to sort it by length of some odds and ends of a bucket of range brass

very very short = shoot it one last time then in to the brass bucket (some had no visible head stamp)
very short = shoot it for practice where the chance of not finding it is high
short = shoot it

if it is close to trim length = use it for match or load test over a chrony

9mm headspaces on top of the case. If the case is too short the round will seat too deep in the chamber. If it were me, as long as the firing pin was still striking the primer, and the slide locked properly, I would use it.

I cant imagine its too short to be loaded and re-used.

I have never measured brass for handgun cartridges, nor have I ever encountered any issues related to case length with any of my reloads. Case length is just not normally an issue with straight-walled cases the way it is with bottle-necked ones.

I second what "just having some fun" posted above, "- if between .754 -.744 you are good to go, by the specs"
