Can someone tell me the best way to get a stuck 9mm case out of a 9mm Lee carbide sizing die. Did this will decapping and hadn't changed the 38 Special case holder to the 9mm holder. New to reloading.
Thank-you
Bob

Get or build a stuck case remover. Buying one is $20, you can build one for about 6, one tap, one nut and some washers.

I did the too... 9mm shell on 38 shell holder. Removed die and decapping pin/nut. Placed on top of vice (opened enough for case to drop) used a small brass punch and hammer...one swing...no damage to anything.

how far up is it? I did this before in my lee 9mm decapper die. If the rim is sticking out a bit, use a flat screwdriver tip on the rim and leverage it against the die.

Two options:

-Pull the decapping pin assembly and drive the case out through the top of the die.
-If there is enough exposed case to do so, grab onto the case with a pair of vise grips and tap on the vise grips to drive the case out.

The case won't be stuck in the carbide die to the point where you need a stuck case extractor.

Stuck Cases

You can easily remove the case yourself, loosen but do not remove the decapper clamp with a 3/4 and 1/2 wrench. Then pound on the end of the decapper rod with a 3/16 drift punch, and use a heavy hammer for best results. You can leave the die in the press for this operation.
