But new to 9mm ar,s
Can anyone help me out with a few uncertainties :
1) I have a new colt 10.5 9mm flat top upper, if I buy factory colt 9mm magazines does that limit my lower receiver choices? I see that lone wolf makes a 9 lower that takes glock mags and than I've seen rra 9 lowered that don't specify what mags they use?!
2) do I need a colt 9 mm mag well block if I run a standard 556 lower?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

My understanding of the LW lower is that there is some work needed on the BCG (or a LW BCG ) to get the beast to feed. You will need a mag well block on a 556 lower, my understanding is that most 9mm lowers require either the Colt mag, or a modified Uzi mag. Personally, I think that the LW lower is a great thing, since Glock mags are a 10 round solution, and getting them is easy, and cheap compared to 5 round Colt mags that are scarce and expensive. It wouldn't take long to recoup the cost of any BCG mods in mags alone. Note also that Stag makes a complete 9mm now, see Arms East - might be a good source of mags too.
