Hey guys-"garden guns" have always seemed interesting to me, and for about the 10th time in as many years..I'm thinking of picking one up. No real practical application mind you, but sometimes you just have to sort that out on your own. I promised myself "no more guns that require hard-to-find-ammo"...yet here I am. lol

I recognize it's an oddball caliber, just wondering if anyone knows who has it in stock in Canada, ideally S. Ontario. If you've used this caliber (ball or shot) on pest animals, I'd be interested in knowing what you used it on..and how effective it was. (and, at what distance)

Thanks for taking a moment to respond

The ammo can be found privately through online buy and sells with reasonable amounts of effort. The fact the effective range is typically measured in feet should give you an idea of its range and practicality outside it's very specific niche. Some countries don't even regulate them the same as other firearms. I can still see the appeal nonetheless though. I like unusual stuff too.

No help here, but about 65 years ago, when I was boy back in England, my first firearm was a Webley bolt action No. 3 bore (9mm. Flobert) garden gun.
I sure don't remember shot sizes available or effective distances, other than needing to be pretty damn close to a rat to actually kill it.
