I am looking for a good brand of 9mm jacketed bullets for my M&P 9. I want to load 147 gr for IPSC shooting. I presently have 147 AIM bullets, but due to the shape, they will not feed properly. I have used 115 and 125 AIM bullets with no problem. I am presently using 147 lead.

Any suggestions on what I could try.

Berry's are also good. Custom Reloading (CGN Dealer) has them. I got 2K to try and then bought another 10K :D
And, honestly, there is really no reason to avoid 124gr bullets.

I bought 1K of the 124gr Berry's, and I just found out I don't need to adjust the seating die from the CamPro settings. :D

you guys are all suggesting plated bullets he asked for jacketed, check out BDX their canadian made jacketed bullets

He said he tried Aim bullets which are plated... except for spending extra money for fun, I don't know why he would use jacketed since we have good plated ones that are less expensive... my 0.02$

I am still trying to get up and running. I have not used a lot of lead yet as every time I go to shoot, something goes wrong and I end up buying or borrowing ammo.

Thanks for the input

I have an M&P and it's great, but i would recommend sticking to jacketed bullets. I had 3 or 4 major jams trying to cycle lead in my M&P9, the same reloaded ammo cycled flawlessly in a Glock17 and a Sig P226. Long story short we loaded 1000 lead reloads, within 150 shots I had 3 or 4 wicked jams, the last time I was concerned I would have to take it to a gunsmith but finally got it sorted out. I know reloaded ammo makes things skeptical etc but the other 850 reloads went straight through the Glock/Sig with zero issues. I have never had any major issue with jacketed bullets in my M&P. Just my experience that's all.

Generally I run Campro 115Gr or 124 Gr jacketed and haven't had any problems with them. Hope this helps......

Fiddle with your O.A.L. and keep using AIMS's.

For my 75b I load to 1.085-1.100 using the AIM 147's.
No feed issues ever.

Is there any significant difference between plated and jacketed?
Other than the price and construction?
Benefits? Detriments?

As soon as BDX releases a 147 I'll try it. Scot at Cedar Valley Hunting carries BDX and he's watching out for us. Until then the plated 147's from Frontier or AIM are working great.

sorry went to their website and see they only make the round nose up to 124 gr. I used 115 grain, bought 6k rounds and man were they super accurate, shooting out of sigs, and cz duty.
