My local range doesn't allow FMJ bullets. Does anyone know of a source in Canada of lead round nose 9mm cartridges, suitable for a 1911 ?

Any commercial reloader, I know one here , but too far for you.
You could buy a press and make some.
The range here did not allow FMJ or surplus on the old steel plates, but we bought new AR15? steel that will take jacket now.
Mind you any one shoot SKS at the steel plates is in trouble.
We have other targets set up for that.

Have you considered reloading? 9mm is easy to reload, and I have been using both 125 gr Lead Round Nose (DRG) and copper plated lead (Not FMJ) Campro 125 both Round nose and Hollow point (HP seems to punch a neater hole in paper; easier to score in PPC). Very economical shooting. Of all the loads I have made up for my Nork NZ85, the lead are the most accurate. Zero feeding problems with any of them. Worth considering.
