Hi, I am just getting into reloading and bought some Berry RN and some Berry HP copper bullets. The HP is shorter than the RN. So, will the OAL be less with the HP? Or should I seat it to less depth? Will this cause any feeding problems?

Thanks

I suggest you buy a reloading book like hornady reloading and use it as a reference for loads/bullets. Thats what I do.

Generally yes, the hollow point will have a lesser OAL. For example, in the Hornady book, 124gr 9mm, XTP hollow point is loaded at 1.060, and FMJ is 1.150. Seating depth makes a big difference in case pressures. Get a manual before you start playing around justto be safe. But if you are looking for a start point, FMJ bullets load to OAL of about 1.13 and the hollow points to 1.1 or even as low as 1.08 and you should be fine. Just dont load to max powder charge and keep an eye out for pressure signs
