Hi all,

Just got my CZ shadow and a pile of 125gr lead bullets. How many gr of Tight Group should I use before hit the IPSC vilocity limit?

Thanks in advance,

Michael

3.8gr.

Oh, .. and expect them to smoke a lot. TG burns at much higher than 'average' powder temps and burns lube on lead bullets as well as melts bottom of them to the point it evaporates some lead.

Titegroup is 'zippy'.
I've tried DRG cast 135gr RN with 3.5 gr of TG - way too smokey. It's like trying to shoot through a smoke cloud.
Currently, I use 4.3gr of TG with AIM 124gr FMJ RN with great results.

I tried a bag of 115GR. 9mm lead that I picked up at a local gun shop. I couldn't get them to group properly with two different pistols using both Tite Group and Universal Clays. I kept reducing the loads until the action would barely function and they were still scattered. Both powders work fine with 115Gr Copper Jacketed and Copper Plated bullets. 4.8Gr.TG and 5.0Gr UC. I figured the lead must be too soft.
