9mm RRA Lar9 pistol problem

Hi everyone I am an AR newb. I just recently bought a new RRA 9mm AR. I am trying to remove the buffer tube and install a new milspec buffer tube on it so I can put a collapsible stock on the thing. I removed the buffer and spring no problem but I can`t get the pistol buffer tube to unthread. Is there a trick to this or am I just not putting enough force on it to unthread it from the lower.

I believe you need a special tool like the one below - tool on far right-hand side to loosen the locknut.

There is no lock nut on the pistol buffer tube like a standard buffer tube.

It's just loc-tite. Crank harder

I am just scared I am going to break it. But if you are sure its loctite then I Guess I might have to just try harder.

A little bit of heat on loctite works wonders. Use a little micro-torch

I had the same issue. I thought I was going to break it too. Make sure the receiver is well supported and secured. Then give it some grunt. A little heat might not hurt either.
