9mm with 700x

Just wondering if anyone here reloads 115 gr or 124 gr 9mm with Hi Skor 700X ?

Yes, it is a good powder, but it is a flake and some powder throwers won't throw a flake powder.

I have used 4.0 gr with both bullet weights.

Accuracy was good? Comparable to the more commonly used powders?

Do it. Was a long time ago that I did but made accurate and soft load. Cant remember the charge weight but it was near minimum

Yes under 125gr bullets. Hotter burns cleaner. Dillon XL650 with powder check in station 3 and cling free sheet in powder hopper. Might have to top up 1 in 100.

3.4 gr of 700X under 124 gr Lyman 356402 makes 130ish PF out of my 9MM 5" pistols. (M&P Pro). A bit more smokier than 231/HP38.

Tried it, but no like. The large flakes don't throw very consistent charges with my powder dispenser. I (and my guns) prefer a little slower powder.

An outstanding fast burning powder, 700X was my go-to powder for most of my reloading chores.
3.6 grains works well for the 125 grain bullet, and 3.8 for the 115 grainer. Dropping any lower chargeweights increases the powder deviation. Remember, with few exceptions, progressive powder measures will alway have some deviation of throwing a bit more powder, but more likely a bit less, or a case with a lot less.....
