Hello all,
I am new to reloading. I do 9mm for my semi auto pistols.
Last time I got Auto Comp powder and 115gr FMJ bullets from Frontier.
When I checked Hodgdon Reloading data center I found that there is no info on exactly my load. There were only the following:
1. 115 GR. LRN AutoComp 4.4gr 24,800 PSI - 5.1gr 31,500 PSI
2. 115 GR. SPR GDHP AutoComp 5.1gr 28,200 PSI - 5.6gr 32,500 PSI
Since my bullets are FMJ but also 115gr I was assuming that I will be okey with 4.4gr load as a starter one....... I reloaded 100 catriges and
It was bad expirience.... Only my Norinco Sig was cycling almost OK, my Beretta was cycling only 3-4 times out of 10 shoots.
It looks like my load of 4.4gr of Autocomp was too low.
Here is the question - which data should I use if the type of my bullet is not listed in DataCenter and also what is the difference between 115 GR. LRN (lead round nose) and 115 GR. SPR GDHP (hollow point ??) if the weight of the bullet remains the same 115gr for both. Why loads are different ?
Very sorry for stupid questions, just wanna know more about the subject.
My OAL was 1.147
Thank you,
Vlad
