So I was reading about the Russian sub-sonic round used in rifles such as the: AS Val, VSK 94, and VSS Vintorez among others, when I stumbled upon an article stating that Wolf is planning on bringing in their own new production 9x39 ammo in an FMJ loading AND that they are looking into making and selling complete AR-15 uppers for the round. Anybody else just need to have this now that they've heard of it? It's definitely another cool thing for someone to bring into Canada.

It'd most likely cost an arm and a leg, as there is nothing currently in Canada that can (legally) use the round, except for (possibly) this AR upper. Additionally, we already have subsonic .300 Blackout in Canada with .300 parts available to convert current AR's. It is an interesting conversation piece at most, since we have no ability to take full advantage of such rounds without suppressors. It's much like the conversation surrounding 5.45x39, there is no real use for it in Canada. Most people who want to use Russian ammo in their AR's usually just go for 7.62x39, which is a dime a dozen and has multiple platforms that support it's use here.

Essentially, if the aforementioned rifles in your post were legal to own here, I could see 9x39 taking off. The problem is that the round has to have a large enough user base to support the effort to even bring it in, and with rifles that natively use it being prohibited, it is unlikely that you'd see these in any significant numbers.

Check this ###y bullet! I first read 9x39, using 9mm bullet weight 230gr as a typo on Wikipedia. No way they could make a bullet double the normal weight. But here it is, pretty cool!
