A better AICS option

For me anyway. I am not a fan of the standard paddle release for field use. This APA bottom metal unit does away with that. I also see Curtis Customs is producing a three round flush fit AICS option as well. Which would be nice in certain scenarios. Prophet River carries the bottom metal but haven’t seen the magazines up here. Posting as someone might be interested.

I agree, not many tactical conversions are good for hunting, even in PRS style matches, one has to be careful not to bump the mag release, i had to change one out because the the release was too big and not a very strong spring. The slightest bump and the mag would fall out during a transition.
When I use a rifle that has AICS style mags I use the polymer MDT mags, then I use a piece of velcro to secure it mag to the rifle kind of like a lanyard.
