A bevy of Ross rifles…and a bunch o’ battle rifles

RRCo...we don't have group size. We were shooting for score on the AFRA's fullbore targets, with two shooters alternating shots per target, with shots being marked by a couple of volunteer target pullers.

OK, thanks; just curious!

Damn, was close to both shoots as I was in Saskatchewan for a wedding at that time, sure would have liked to see all those Ross rifles. I think my MK III needs a companion. (I'm not addicted, I'm not, I'm not....)

My third arrived yesterday, completing the basics, mkI-mkIII. Now to upgrade to full mill spec from spotters on the MkII and III. Catching the Lee-Enfield collection now!

Maybe I'll make a thread about my three babies. One is "half" military. She is well worn in the outside and has a varnished & sanded half length stock with handguard, an absolutely pristine barrel and factory sights. The other is supposedly a Ranger rifle, action is in spectacular condition, bore is rough and sights are home brew. I'm looking at turning the second into a very nice long-range target rifle. Barrels are shortened in both.

You threatened/promised to get more at the event. What did you pick up?

It should be pointed out, as well, that there was keen interest in acquisition of a Ross among the non-Ross shooters at the event. More fans into the fold.

Nice to see the Ross rifles on the range again, and a "Well Done" for getting the Shoot organized. We need more events like this where people can get together, shoot, and socialize.

Looks like you had a lot of fun.
