A Black Rifle Newbie Question ...

I just got a SOPMOD retractable stock to replace my old fixed stock. I can't figure out how to put the SOPMOD onto the extension tube. The "pin" (that part that goes into the preset holes when adjusting the length) won't back out far enough to allow the stock to slide onto the tube. What is the trick? Please help.

How are you adjusting the length on your fixed stock? If you mean you have a M4 6 position stock with a carbine buffer tube (not a rifle buffer tube with a full length A1 or A2 fixed stock) just pull downwards on the level instead of pushing it up like you were going to adjust the stock length. Do the same thing with the SOPMOD when putting it on and your GTG.
