I'm looking for a rifle.
It must be a bolt action.
Chambered in .223 Rem and 5.56mm (basically in 5.56mm as any .223 rem can be fired in a 5.56mm proofed chamber)
Twist must be 1:8 at least as I plan to load heavy 75gr projectiles (maybe even SMK 77gr's) for it but also would like the ability to shoot surplus 5.56mm when the cash gets tight.

So far the closest thing I've seen is the Mossberg MVP but the highest twist I've seen on them is 1:9
Anyone have knowledge of any other rifles out there meeting those specs?
Does anything commercial/not custom meet those criteria?

Educate me please.

Also I'm versed in the .223 Rem/5.56mm interchangeability topic, not interested in the slightest in a long drawn out, moms-basement-dwelling, internet #### measuring thread, there's enough of those on this forum already so go find one if you feel the need but please keep it off here.

Easy enough to run a Wylde reamer into an existing .223 chamber. That would eliminate any throat/5.56/.223 issues.

Savage model 12 has a 1 in 7 twist. Then send it to a smith and get it reamed to wylde specs. I had problems igniting mil spec primers when I had my 223 savage model 10.
