I have a BCL Bronco 9.5 inch and emailed them when I bought the guns to see what they recommend. I tried all the recommended ammo plus more - here is the list:
UPDATED results as of Feb 22/2024
Winchester Varmint X 223 Remington 40gr Polymer Tip - excellent in my gun, crazy accurate
Federal Varmint and Predator .223 Rem, 53 Gr, Hornady V-Max -No great in my gun
Nosler Varmageddon 223 Rem, 55gr Tipped Flat Base - OK in my gun
Remington Premier Match 223 Rem 69 gr MatchKing Open Tip - shot very well
Winchester Varmint X 223 Remington 40gr Polymer Tip is used at manufacturing facility to test fire and accuracy test.
additional ammo tested- UPDATED Feb 22/2024
Federal Sierra Match 69, 77 grain - excellent
Federal Match Berger 73 grain- This was crazy accurate at 50 yards I did 2-5 round sub .5 inch groups
Hornady 55 grain SP custom-This stuff is excellent in my gun. It comes in a box of 50 and its the cheapest of all the non bulk ammo I tried.
MagTech 55 grain - Shot good enough to hit steel etc. and general plinking
MagTech 62 grain .556- had some interesting results, I like it for a cheaper range day.
I found that the Winchester Varmint X 40 grain and the Federal Match Berger 73 grain the best. I cant explain it but they were sub .5 MOA at 50 yards in a 5 shoot group.
Hornady 55 grain Custom SP is a close second. The higher 69,73 and 77grain all shot well but I cant get over the Winchester 40 grain varmint accuracy. Thank you BCL for the ammo suggestion list.
I will locate my test targets and post them.
My BCL Bronco 12.5 inch likes the same ammo as well as the Bison.
I have a Siberian as well and found that the same ammo works great in it as well except the Hornady Superformance 53grain has a slight edge over the other suggested ammo.
