Okay so here is the rifle...
This is a 1957 BRNO number four with a 36 power leupold scope power bumped to 48 power....very nice scope bought here on the EE
The trigger
The stock trigger matches that of the new CZ 452's and prior to this I had installed a eric brooks kit, I still had a fair amount of creep and it was breaking at two and a half pounds with the lightest spring and the second to largest bushing. With the largest bushing the sear would not engage thus this was as good as it was going to get......or was it.
The stock trigger
The stock trigger meeting its replacement for the first time, a little tension was building on the work bench around this time as well as a little animousity
So I knocked out the pins and replaced the old guy with the new shiny one
Well first impressions where great, absolutely no creep and it breaks crisp hmmmm 10 oz trigger. Now the light goes on
Lets try this baby with the black tube again from the brooks kit........ well I'll be....it is lighter but how light well the gauge says 2 oz almost ten times in a row. Will it pass the bump test? of course not this rifle is only shot on the bench. The cool part is that I can get the allen key onto the spring adjustment without taking the action out of the stock.....way cool now so two ounces on the bench and a hefty auuuuugghhh with full spring tension. It may cost nearly 100 bucks but it was well worth the cost. I will have to see just what this does to the group sizes now.
