Its time to see what this rifle can do - start dialing it in because this is a challenge to post your best groups (with digital pics plz).

I'll be posting by the end of next week and it will be pathetic ( I can;t hit ####e ) - Armedsask you better set out some targets in your trailer park ... you have an EOtech and will probably post some good groups, unless your mods did more harm than good :D JUST don't hit Bubbles!!

Good Luck to All ! may the best pimp win!

oh yeah grand prize is $15 and a bus ride to 118Ave in Edmonton where your sure to run into some pimps :p

I did notice a marked difference when I free floated the barrel. I've never actually sat down on a calm day (rare in these parts) and tried to get good groups though. I use my rifle as a work horse, not some range kitty.

Last time I was actually trying to get tight groups it was on the head of thunder storm so I was shooting with about a 15 knot cross wind. Holding over about a foot to one side of the target I was getting 2" groupings with one flier at 3 inches (first shot, always forget to put on ears :D). Once it warms up I'll get out and try some groupings with a box of match ammo. Maybe I'll even close off the gas port and remove the gas piston. That would probably let me make some pretty nice groups. :D

Armedsask, as long as you aren't using the iron sights just pull the piston and twist the front sight base to lockoff the gas port.

C'mon now, don't fudge it that much. Use the rifle in semi-auto form at least.

Use optics, trigger, ammo modification. Don't make it into a manual bolt action... Please...

That was the plan. I don't have any iron sights on my rifle at all.

Don't worry Raider, I'll fire it in semi-auto first. Would be interesting to see how much the groupings change when the piston is not acting on the barrel.

cool - I'll try to get my groups done before my 180B sells. I have a feeling I won;t have it for a second range trip.

No piston? would that be a manual loader then?

( about selling mine... I really didn't anticipate this much interested, I guess non-restricted is a major plus these days. so far have received interest from 8 different people on the first day - I think this is a sign our sport is growing. - hopefully peoples wallets are too.)

If my 180B sells I'll just enter our little contest with the sig. :D
