Just wanted to give a quick shout out to CZ and the quality firearms they are puting out...

I recently picked up a CZ 513 Farmer for a grouse/plinker up at the cottage. I read all the reviews of the horrible trigger, but just wanted something simple so I opted for this over the Lux as it was shorter and lighter, and definitely cheaper. ;)

Well despite that trigger it is amazingly accurate, and as always quality built.

Just a couple groups I shot today.......

This is with a cheap 4x scope @ 50m using CCI Standard Velocity:

Another CZ I just recently picked up is the CZ 455 Standard in 22 wmr. Again I chose this over the Lux because it was shorter, and cheaper. The wood actually is nicer on this one as well. ;)

Anyways, I have shot it at 50m a bunch and was getting honest 1/2 inch groups so today we went out to 100m to see what she could do......

Using a 2-7 x Leupold Rimfire @ 100m with CCI Maxi Mag HP's:

Just throwing this thread up for those on the fence, or considering going with Savage or the likes. I have been there and done that and in the price range nothing compares to these CZ's.

Spend the extra cash and get something that will last, and keep you happy for a lifetime. ;)

Cheers,
M

Ha! you might be making another cz vs savage thread but ya i had both in my hands and went with the cz instead, just sold a couple graphite hockey sticks to a friend and then told the wife they were both the same price minus the sticks. Only a Canadian would have 12hun worth of hockey sticks.

Those groups are to be expected on these fine CZ's.
I have put unspent rounds in a stump with holes in it and
fired at the butt of them. If you listen real close, you can
hear them go off.
Sort of like shooting flies................Laugh2
Great fun these are.

Good thread, varmit season is coming so I took my new CZ512 .22WMR up to Target Sports to sight in my new Busnell Legend 3-9 scope ar 25 yds.
I had one stovepipe in the first magazine and it worked flawlessly after that. Shot about 150 rounds of CCI and got it zeroed at just a tad low at 25 yds which
will put me on zero at 100yds with Hornady JHP. I found the benches there to be a tad low for me for a great hold and had short sleeves so I got a few arm burns
from hot brass as I am a lefty. Going to the shoemaker to see if we can jury rig a brass deflector for it as this thing throws brass about 5 feet.
Overall I had good groups and am very pleased with the CZ performance.
