Do AR handguards only come in 2 sizes?

regular rifle (long) for 16-20+ inch barrels and
carbine (short) for the carbines 14.5 or less...

i'm looking to buy some railed handguards and they only come in two sizes ("long" or "short") i'm thinking the "short" one will fit my 14.5 carbine


also has anyone seen the trijicon accupoints for sale in Canada?, specifically

i know that the ACOGs are no more up here... though PoliceOrdinance lists everything from trijcon (LEO only i guess)

The carbine length (short) handguard will fit 10.5" up to 16" barrelled rifles with the exception of the "midlength" carbines. They were first built by Armalite to better ballance the 16" barrels required to avoid the National Firearms Act prohibitions on short barrelled rifles. The slightly longer sight radius made the rifle look nicer, not such a long barrel out in front of the gas block.

So, if your 14.5" carbine barrel is a Colt, Bushmaster, Dlask, etc, and not a "midlength" carbine, the short will fit fine.

There is 2 carbine, mid and long if your talking plastic.
For FF tube to many.
Thats the standered sizes there are things like the mini moose and other customs stuff.
