I just received these two from the Wolverine surplus sale. I only bought them Monday morning and was very surprised when they arrived today. Thanks to John for the fast service and shipping.

The first one is a VZ 24. It's pretty rough, but John practically gave it to me, so I'll see what I can do with it. So far I've dissassembled it and although it does have some pitting in places, it should be still shootable once cleaned up.

This one is a Peruvian Modelo 1935. It is in pretty decent shape and just needs a good cleaning to remove the grime and excess cosmoline. I was really surprised this was still available. How come nobody bought this one? Does everybody already have one?:p It's not matching, but everything is correct for this model. The bore looks really nice.

Very nice - I personally collect guns which (may) have fired shots in anger, but I was surprised none of the South American Mauser guys bought the 1935! Looks gorgeous!

LOL - I was actually negotiating a price for this gun plus two others by e-mail on Monday with John. I thought I had it, then he e-mailed me to say it was sold...? I think you beat me to it by less than 5 mins!

What delayed me is I was waiting to hear whether a different gun had a matching bolt or not - it didn't and I only ended up with one rifle. Oh well.

Sorry Claven2. When John responded to my offer by email, he mentioned that there was another "inquiry". I quickly phoned and told him I'd take it. So yeah, I probably just beat you.

It is still in 7.65x53.

I'd be interested in rifles like these, if I could navigate their website.

I'll stick with TradeEx, much simpler for the computer illiterate.:D
