  1. How do you mechanically zero the PU mount?

  2. What Soft Point ammo is available in Canada and what are the grain limit's for this caliber?

  3. Would free floating the barrel & bedding an after market ATI stock increase the repeatability of this rifle?

Mechanical zero is pretty strait forward. If you're planning on removing the scope assy at any point, remember to only punch the bottom vertical adjustment screw, and don't do it until you're absolutely sure! That way you can loosen up the top screw and make it easier to lift the scope out.

The original stocks are fine, usually. They certainly don't seem to hurt accuracy.

i shot 40 rounds outta my 1943 of S&B last weekend
excellent rounds in my opinion
a little pricey at $25 per box,
but when theres not alot of surplus.....its a good buy.....

soft point by the way

Norma 150 grain shoots OK but the brass is great, much heavier than the S&B. I then load it with Sierra Game Kings in .311. Very accurate in my Hungarian M44.

Sierra's GameKing and other ProHunter bullets seem to be well liked by many surplus rifles in .311 caliber.
Maybe they have a softer jacket that upsets and obturates better than most, I don't know, but there's a definite and noticeable trend there.
PP.
