No - it's one thing I've seen common with all unissued Yugo's - whether it's a 59, 59/66 or Mauser M48, is that the stocks are not adequately sealed - they could use treatment with a good stock-finish oil or similar. What may appear as water damage on that pic is actually untreated or unsealed wood.

That sure is a pretty rifle. I'm kicking myself for not getting one when i was in Yugo in '93.
