Well for my 2,000th post I figured I'd post something better than the usual off-topic thingy. (as in "where my goat at?)

So here are a few more pics from my trip 2 weeks ago.

In this pic the moose was sleeping, just streching our his hind legs and snoring, but we managed to sneak up behind him and snap off a few pics before he woke up. :D

After a while, we figured the moose might be really sleeping hard, so just to be sure we threw a rope around his antlers, rigged up a pulley on a tree, and tried to stand him up, using the nissan as our winch.

Now to get a little more serious, I got a lot of respect for guys who go hunting by themselves and have to pack out a moose on their back, in as many trips as it takes them. This was the first time I helped to pack out something that was a lot bigger and heavier then me.

Now for some neat scenery. This on 552 FSR road that leads to Hwy 97 and on to Savona, BC. I took these on my way to the gas station. Thought that these neat little mountains deserve to be seen by a few more people.

Cheers & good hutning.

Isn't that how Bartell sleeps after a night with Jack Daniels and the ladies? :p

Nice pics.

nice looking moose......looks like it will be a great one to eat :D as you said once they are down the work begin,s
but when you have a nice steak on the bbq you know it was worth it :D

BTW, the moose was shot by my ex's grandpa.

But hey each one of us 4 guys did get a mule buck to boot.

Thanks for the pics of the hoodoos.

Last time I was there I took some pics too and the camera screwed up (or was it me?) and I didn't get the pictures.

Nice animals too!

More great pics, Olek. Somehow I missed your original post and pics - thanks for the link. That's a great all around hunt!
So, is Bullwinkle tasty?
p.s. - nice scenery, too!

Yup, we ate some moose last saturday. It was my ex's grandpa's 76 (!) b-day.

He is the one who got the moose.

Man I hope to live to that age, let alone be in the shape he is in.
