So I'm getting my WK really soon and I'm curious what current owners would advise me to look out for. There isnt much info on what issues have been resolved or not. I also have a few questions on what parts to get.

Main issue seems to be gas block touching the rail and the handguard and barrel nut being very hard to get off.

Small issues look like there is wiggle between the upper and lower.

Any other issues? The rifle will forsure be in 5.56mm so not worried about the wylde chamber

Anyone have recommendations on what to do if the gas block is touching? For the wiggle theres a gasket you can get.

Heard some stuff about the rails and BUIS and optics not working but seems rare?

Also where do I get the brass deflector? do I contact drift117?

Other questions: Is the receiver endplate an AR15 part? can I use a Magpul ASAP QD endplate? what other safety selectors can I use?

Thanks

- gas block touching the handguard: I wouldn't say this is an "issue" as it does not affect functionality. Some people believe on a piston rifle this is moot point, but some believe otherwise. It is still a 2 ~ 3 MOA plinker with no modifications which is pretty good

- tight barrel nut: just need brute strength to loosen it

- wiggle between upper and lower: ever owned an AR? Easy fix with an o-ring from Home Depot

- Rail compatibility with some mounts and BUIS: try before you buy, if possible

- Deflector: yes he's still the guy

- Endplate: yes it uses standard AR buffer tube, nut, and end plate.

- Safety: no you can't use AR safety. This is proprietary

Thanks for the info,

So if it takes the Magpul QD endplate, will the QD part still work?

the back of an AR15 lower has a hole that the endplate covers and I'm not sure if the WK has that hole and I am also unsure if the QD endplate requires this hole to function
