It's the last day here in Ontario folks. Not sure when the other provinces end but I'm thinking they're over.
Spent the morning getting a breast that has been marinading all night in a wine, vinegar and tangerine juice soup that was made heavy with garlic too. In the pic it's starting to smoke with some hickory. That's the call somebody on this forum is a gonna be carrying into the field next spring getting a lid fitted. Nice cool morning doing some of the finer things in life:):)
That's last years buck hanging among some wings from this years gobblers and one set from last year. Tail is from my first gobbler this year. On my right is a few chunks of well figured walnut and on the left is a boxelder burl showing some raspberry ripple. They'll be calls next year:D:D
Hope everybody's season was fun, safe and productive.

Hey grnhawg, thanks for putting on the contest again this year.

Nice to just kick back and relax a little bit, I can understand that, especially doing something you love.

I had a great season. Saw some things this spring, that probably won't ever happen again.

Had a hen, in pecking distance of my shotgun barrel. Saw a hen, with a 4" beard, clucking her head off, with 11 Jakes in tow. All of their beards were at least 2"s shorter than hers.

Both my Turkey's were shot closer than ever, next year I am hunting with a bow. Crossbow first, and then my selfbow...........well for the first 3 weeks anyways, then the Shotgun will come out, LOL

Was a strange season this year. It seemed like there was a 2 week lull there, where the Turkey's went silent, dormant, what have you.........weird.

Thanks again,
