Well I have two more days - so in order to humour Airborn_69 (Steph seems to think I take too many hero shots) here goes.

Two days to go

May as well have fun.
Who says you need a gas piston...
600+ rds (no cleaning duh) today from my suppressed Mk18/M4A1

Sorry, I am out of the loop KevinB. Two days left in Iraq forever, or just before you head home for a break?

Looks like you guys had fun. You have worked hard so I think you have earned it! :D

Nice pics Kev, I guess ruining the can is cheaper than DHL ;) Can't wait for the rest of my parts to arrive so I can take my Recce out.

Got a few odds and ends in trades today...2000 rounds Federal 69 grain sierra matchking hollowpoints, 2-3k mk 262, another few thousand of assorted 5.56 including some rounds that look like the baby brother of that blended metal 7.62 x 51 I had

I decided for a cleaner more professional outlook this last trip -- as opposed to my Navy SEAL beard phase from the previous.

Dude! I just had a bearded pic of you Tatooed on my back with a famous quote. "Beard, Ballcap, Dropleg Holster...guess he figured I was someone important?"-

but now you are back the baby face! ahahahahahaha

nice can by the way, what the hell happened to cause the rounds to punch through it? come loose? bad baffle?

you comin back to Canada at all? we have beer you know................

One of the welds let go on a baffle and it caused the bullet to exit stage left...

However once it was damaged we then "hammer downed" and caused ALL the baffles to melt out...

It was a RSA built can.

Video to follow

I will be in Canada for about a month in Aug -- but not sure if I can make BC - my GF does not trust me out in BC

The Can suffered from a failed baffle after about 580rds fired today -- then we just let it have it (no baffles remain inside it now...).

My guess is a poor weld let go on the baffle -- and after it left go it damaged the others which led to baffle strikes and then comlete failure
