Gopher season in Saskatchewan, B-in-L's story,
" ###### and I, along with some others found a couple of gopher
fields on the weekend. On Saturday we shot about 1,000 or perhaps more.
On Sunday we found a different place and did about the same. I shot
about 1,200 rounds of 22 between the two days. I am suggesting about a
50% success rate on the few times I counted my kill to shot ratio. Most
of the shots were within 50yds. The longest I ranged was 125 yds and
surprised me as much as the gopher. Some of the small areas that we
cleaned out were teaming with gophers within an hour of leaving it
alone. I think we will have a great summer of sport shooting gophers to
hoan our shooting skills. "

Yeah Sask is really bad this year for them I hear. In the last 3 years or so it seems all my favourite spots have dried up.

As far as I'm concerned . A golf course is just a waste of a good rifle range !!!!
With all these great stories I wish that we had gophers here in Newfoundland . I suppose that we could substitute in Moose or caribou but it probably not be the same .
