I am just getting back into shooting clays after a 10 year break. I was wondering what would be a good quality 20ga autoloader for Skeet and Sporting Clays. Cheers.

Any of 'em will do nicely. Which one is more about your budget. I'd be thinking Rem 11-87 myself. Comes with Remchokes and isn't stupid expensive to buy(a Benelli or Beretta runs about a grand more.). The tubes run about $20 each. $10 for the wrench.

Beretta 391-2 Sporting. I've owned a couple of Remington 1100s and wouldn't own another based on my experience and that of the guys at my club who own them. The 391 is superior and worth the extra money. I've got one in 12 gauge and one in 20. I'd have one in 28 too if Beretta made them in that gauge.

The new winchesters are fairly nice but not as refined and as well made as the beretta's

I would definitely recommend a beretta auto loader.

Remington's quality has suffered so severely it is very disappointing, I bought a fancier model 1100 several years ago, it was poorly made, sharp edges, wood fitting was no hell, end bead was severely off centre, pathetic really.

YUP on the 391. Prep it properly with BreakFree and like my 391 Gold Sporting Optima, it does not need ANy cleanning after 8 years of use. Yup, it was one of the first in Canada in 2003 and has not been cleanned EVER since and still shoots Winchester AA Light target or 3 inch mag steel shot.

There's a benelli montefeltro up in the EE right now. Nice shooting gun in my experience, but I've never lived with one for any length of time. Might be worth investigating.
